You get 14 days of full access. We remind you by email before the trial ends, and you're only charged if you don't cancel. Cancel anytime during the trial and you pay nothing.

We keep it for three months from the day your subscription ends, so nothing disappears the moment you stop paying. During that time the Family Manager can download all of it — every reading, spelling and word-list record as spreadsheets, plus every recording, photo and scan — in one zip file from zenreader.co/export. We email you when the subscription ends, a month before the deadline and a week before it, each time naming the exact date. After that date we delete it from our live systems and it cannot be recovered. Subscribing again before then stops the deletion and leaves everything exactly as it was.

We show and bill in your local currency where we support one (USD, SGD, AUD), otherwise USD. Prices are set per region, and Singapore prices include GST — no surprises at checkout. Zen Reader isn't on sale in the UK or the EU yet while we complete local tax registration.

Yes. You can upgrade from Individual to Family whenever your household grows.

Plans are billed yearly — it keeps things simple and works out cheaper per month. That's roughly $4/month for Individual and $8/month for the whole Family.

Both plans include the complete app: read-aloud checks, karaoke read-aloud, word games and flash cards, spelling practice, homework help, HSK grading, progress and badges. Nothing is a paid add-on. Family simply extends all of it to up to six members with roles, a shared library and manager review.

Reading practice currently focuses on Simplified Chinese — ideal for children learning Chinese at school or at home. The app's own menus are available in English, Chinese and ten other languages. More reading languages are on the roadmap.

Your child photographs a Chinese worksheet and a friendly AI tutor guides them through it — offering hints rather than handing over answers. You choose how much it may reveal (hints only, hints then reveal, or explain-the-concept), so it supports learning instead of shortcutting it.

Turn any character or vocabulary list into flash cards and a card game with a family leaderboard. Spelling practice lets you set weekly 听写 lists your child works through by writing, saying or taking a dictation test, with a photo of their work marked automatically and a report for parents.

Yes — your library syncs to each device, so children can read and practise without a connection. Sessions and progress sync back automatically the next time you're online.
